Here are more pictures from the NCES Veterans Day Assembly held on 11/9/2022. Once again, thank you to our veterans for your service AND thank you to everyone at NCES who made this a special day for our veterans.
On Nov. 9, 2022, NCES held a Veterans Day Assembly to honor those who have served their country. We would like to say, "Thank you," to all of our veterans and their families who attended this event at our school. We had a great program with a lot of people involved with making it successful. Check out the pictures with our Veterans Day Assembly program and various candid pictures. Another post will follow this one to share more pictures, with special thanks to Mrs. Kreps for taking these for NCES! Thank you to everyone involved with and/or attending this special event for our veterans.
Here is a recent picture of two groups from Mr. Schneider's 1B Geography class. Students are working on a Conservation Poster, and really working hard and having fun! Keep up the creativity, cooperation and teamwork.
Here are a few more pics of "Fire Escape Plan" Contest winners and Mrs. Fink and winning Kindergarten class. Thank you to NCES students, staff, and families who got involved and to our Nauvoo Fire Dept. for their partnership and support!
NCES partnered with Nauvoo Fire Dept. to do a "Fire Escape Plan" Contest. Over 60 NCES students chose to participate! This contest achieved the Fire Dept's goal of encouraging more families to plan/prep for fire emergencies. These NCES students were selected as individual winners: PreK-Quinn Dickerson, Kindergarten-Canyon Huston, 1st Grade-Maisie Grange, 2nd Grade-Craig Bodily, 3rd Grade-Mesa Kohl, 4th Grade-Miles Aitchison, 6th Grade-Kat Aitchison. The winners and their families got breakfast at the Nauvoo Fire Station and after the winners got a ride to school in a fire truck. Also, Mrs. Fink's Kindergarten Class had the most participation with 100% of the students participating! They got a pizza party and visit from Marshall. Thank you to Chief Gallaher and Nauvoo Fire Dept. for partnering with NCES students and families for this cool community event. Check out pics and more pics will be posted for this event and the people involved.
The boys basketball game tonight in Quincy is at 5:30, not the previously announced 6pm.

The Hancock County Health Department is sponsoring a CPR class for 12-18 year olds during holiday break. This is a great opportunity for teens who babysit. The training is free, but space is limited and pre-registration by December 14th is required.
The training isn't scheduled until December 22, but we wanted to give you a heads up to allow time to mark your calendars.
